The company, Makani Pty Limited commenced operations in September 1996.   The determination of Makani's founders, Paul Kasparian and David Scarrabelotti, being to supply the best quality Australian meat to its customers. Their uncompromising adherence to the highest standards in quality control and supplying only the best Australian meat has made Makani a leader within the meat industry.

Makani initially operated from Homebush with 2 trucks. Within 2 years the fleet expanded significantly and a depot in Perth was initiated. Today Makani has depots throughout Australia, conducting operations in such a manner as to continually their increase customer base.

David Scarrabelotti heads cattle procurement, processing and quality control for Makani. He works closely with Paul to ensure the cattle meets Makani's rigorous quality control standards.

Paul Kasparian's expertise is in marketing and management. He continues to develop brands and look for business opportunities for Makani. Through this continuing process Makani has become recognised as a leading supplier of the highest quality meat to supermarkets, leading retail and smallgoods outlets and restaurants.
